Our clients, a busy family with two young boys, came to us looking to update their bedroom and give their oldest sons room a funky personality. Both of our clients have serious professions by day, and their major request was that their master bedroom “didn’t take life to seriously”. They also wanted to pay homage to their favorite hotel, The Parker, in California. They wanted a fun Palm Springs inspired space with all new furniture, window treatments, and bedding. We kept the original sage gray wall color and their West Elm bedside tables to keep the space grounded, but decided to go bold with everything else. A coral colored bed is the statement of the room with a mix of black & white, teal and a bold punch of citrus green. The window treatments are a custom working roman shade with a wood bead detail that take direct inspiration from an umbrella found at The Parker Hotel. The llama head lamps are from a KC local lighting designer and we customized the shades for another pop of color in the space. All of the bedding is custom made.
